Mark Coles to coach Pakistan Women for New Zealand series

Pakistan Women

Mark Coles has been appointed the head coach of the Pakistan Women’s team for the series against New Zealand in the United Arab Emirates, it was confirmed on Monday (September 25).

Mark Coles said he aims to continue the development of the side. “It was tough for them, but they competed really well over there Women’s World Cup,” he told stuff.co.nz after his appointment was made official. “I think they just lost the big moments in those games. They played well, but when the big moments came they couldn’t get the job done. Obviously the public just want them to win, like any international team. The team has been developing really nicely, so hopefully we can continue that.”

Pakistan will play 3 One-Day Internationals and four Twenty20 Internationals. The 3 ODIs will be part of the ICC Women’s World Championship that’ll go on till 2021 and will decide the four teams that’ll earn direct qualification for the next World Cup.
