Sarfraz Ahmed will replace Australia’s Peter Handscomb for a short stint with Yorkshire in the Natwest T20 Blast, it was announced on Saturday (July 15). The Pakistan skipper joins teammate Imad Wasim for a stint in England, after the latter joined Durham for the T20 event.
Sarfraz Ahmed has 359 runs in 29 T20Is, scoring at a strike rate of 118.48. He led Quetta Gladiators to the finals of both the seasons of Pakistan Super League so far, albeit finishing second best on both occasions. Besides his leadership, Sarfraz also contributed with the bat, scoring 168 in 9 innings in the inaugural edition and following it up with 183 in as many innings in 2016-17.
