Jeff Crowe completed 250 ODI matches as match referee

The former New Zealand captain, who played 39 Tests and 75 ODIs for New Zealand between 1983 and 1990, has become only the third match referee to reach 250 ODIs after Ranjan Madugalle and Chris Broad.

Jeff Crowe’s international umpiring career at a glance:

  • First match – ODI between West Indies v England, Georgetown, 18 April 2004
  • Test debut –  Pakistan v Sri Lanka, Faisalabad, 20-24 October 2004
  • Has also officiated in 81 Tests and 67 Twenty20 Internationals
  • Officiated in three ICC Cricket World Cups – 2007, 2011 and 2015 including the finals in 2007 and 2011
  • Officiated in the ICC Champions Trophy in 2006 and 2009
  • Officiated in ICC World Twenty20 in 2010, 2012 and 2016
