Former Australian first-class cricketer Mark O’Neill has joined the Bangladesh national team as a short-term batting consultant on Saturday (July 29).
O’Neill, who arrived in Dhaka on Wednesday, paid his first visit to the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium with head coach Chandika Hathurusinghe on Saturday to gather some knowledge about the available resources present in the venue for developing the national cricketers.
“Initially he will work with the national team for a month,” said Nizamuddin. “Later after discussing with him we will decide what will be our next course of action.
“We have some plans to use him in the development program as he has substantial amount of knowledge in this area,” he added.
