The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced that they would distribute Taka 2 Crores as prize money to the triumphant national women’s team, who won the recently-concluded Asia Cup.
“I cannot describe, in words, the joy we had on seeing them perform in this manner,” BCB President Nazmul Hasan told reporters. “They had worked really hard and their effort needs to be recognized. So we have decided to distribute Taka 2 Crores as prize money for the team,” he said.

Biren Sikder, minister for youth and sports, declared that they would create a dedicated academy for the women’s team. “We are proud with their performance,” said Biren. “We would create a dedicated academy for the women cricketers.”
