Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan, on Sunday (March 12), said they are confident of roping in a head coach by next month.
The announcement came a day after Bangladesh earned a terrific five-wicket win over Sri Lanka through a record chase under the guidance of former Windies pace bowler Courtney Walsh to end their prolonged losing streak. With the win, they kept their hopes alive in the ongoing Nidahas Trophy in Colombo.
“We will finalise the head coach after the series,” Nazmul said. “No point talking about it here as we are all currently away from home. But we are expecting to call two to three candidates for interviews.
“We are hoping that our next head coach will join by April as we are determined to complete his selection by this month.”
