Twenty20 tri-series shifted to New Zealand, beleaguered bowlers have almost looked like bowling machines against blistering batting at the tiny grounds.
Ashton Agar, Australia’s spinner, was the most economical bowler for the visitors with figures of 1 for 24 from 3 overs but said it was the toughest challenge of his T20 career. “Number one [challenge wise], absolutely,” Agar told reporters in Auckland on Monday (February 19). “I’ve played against a few players that have hit me for plenty of sixes before in T20 cricket but I’ve never played on a ground like this.
“Especially Munro (and Guptill) – they’re trying to hit you for six every ball. So, it was pretty interesting,” he added.
