Mohammad Hafeez, Pakistan all-rounder, was suspended from bowling, The independent body found that most of the offspinner’s deliveries exceeded the 15-degree limit, allowed as per Article 11.1 of the ICC Illegal Bowling Regulations.
Hafeez can apply for another assessment test after remodelling his bowling action as per clause 4.5 of the regulations.
Hafeez has now been suspended from bowling on three occasions. In November 2014, the all-rounder’s action came under scrutiny during a Test series played between Pakistan and New Zealand and was subsequently suspended from bowling in December. In April 2015, his bowling action was passed as legal by the governing body.
