Marcus Stoinis returns to Western Warriors

Marcus Stoinis has made his return to Western Australia after spending four years at Victoria, Western Warriors confirmed while announcing their state contract list for 2017-18 season on Monday (August 14).

Full contracts: Ashton Agar, Cameron Bancroft, Jason Behrendorff, William Bosisto, Hilton Cartwright, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Cameron Green, Joshua Inglis, Michael Klinger, Simon Mackin, Mitchell Marsh, Shaun Marsh, David Moody, Joel Paris, Jhye Richardson, D’Arcy Short, Marcus Stoinis, Ashton Turner, Andrew Tye, Jonathan Wells, Sam Whiteman.

Rookies: Alex Bevilaqua, Jake Carder, Kyle Gardiner, Clint Hinchliffe, Matthew Kelly, Matthew Spoors.

Eleven days later, an ODI debut followed in Leeds but he couldn’t nail down his spot in a congested middle-order. His second ODI appearance came after a gap of more than a year (in February 2017), but that didn’t faze the big-hitting batsman who amassed an unbeaten 146 against New Zealand at Eden Park.
