News- Former Western Province player Ryan Maron has joined Cricket West Indies as the assistant coach for the men’s team. Replacing Andre Coley, the 42-year old will team up with Roddy Estwick and Toby Radford in the coaching set up headed by Stuart Law.
Maron, who has played 18 first-class matches and a solitary List A game, has previously coached South Africa’s domestic side Dolphins and also served as the fielding specialist for Afghanistan.
“This is a massive privilege to be involved in West Indies cricket and I’m delighted to join the Windies coaching staff,” Maron said on his appointment. “I have followed West Indies cricket over the years as a kid and then as a player and a coach and I’m just happy to be offered this opportunity to make a contribution as a coach.
