Playing in only his sixth Test for Australia, young opener Cameron Bancroft revealed picking the brains of his experienced opening partner David Warner who, according to him, is ‘very refreshing to listen to’.
“I spent a bit of the time and took him away from the group,” Bancroft said. “He’s a great fella, he’s scored a lot of Test runs and he’s a guy that’s worth sitting down and listening to about the game. It wasn’t just cricket we talked about – an array of topic came up, but particularly regarding the game of cricket. I find him very refreshing to listen to.

“He (Bancroft) knows it was a soft dismissal but he will do the same thing in the second innings and hopefully he won’t nick it,” he said. “You always try to think outside the box to have a positive mindset. For me, it was to try to adjust his length and try to get the lbw out of the equation and get the ‘keeper up,” Warner had said.
