Abu Jayed has received a maiden call-up to the Bangladesh Test squad for the tour of West Indies as the Bangladesh Cricket Board announced a 15-man squad for the two-Test series on Monday (June 18). The selectors wanted Yeasin Arafat in the squad but his inclusion wasn’t approved by board president Nazmul Hasan..
“We have decided to change Yeasin Arafat with Shafiul Islam in the last minute as we felt that we need some experience,” chief selector Minhajul Abedin.
Bangladesh start their tour with a two-day practice match in Antigua from June 27 before the first Test from July 4. The second Test will be played from July 12-16 before the two teams play three ODIs and three T20Is.
